Calvary's Kids Connection Mission Statement:
Calvary’s Children’s Ministry partners with parents to lay foundations for faith by providing age appropriate, Bible-based opportunities for children to grow in their relationships with God within a caring, nurturing and safe church family.
“Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’” (Matthew 19:13)
“Whoever welcomes one of these little children in My name welcomes Me; and whoever welcomes Me does not welcome Me but the One who sent Me.” (Mark 9:37)
“This is how God showed His love among us; He sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him.” (1 John 4:9)

What’s available for PRESCHOOLERS (Infants - Kindergarten) and CHILDREN (1st - 6th) at Calvary Baptist Church?
Child Check-In System: This program helps keep students safe and streamlines the check-in process. Staff will be on hand to assist parents of children, infants through 6th grade, in this process each Sunday.
Sunday Morning Disciple Groups for Children: Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. classes are offered for all ages and stages (infants - 6th grade) to study the Bible and discover God's love and purpose for us.
Sunday Morning Children's Worship: Every Sunday at 10:30 a.m., Children's Worship is offered for all ages and stages (infants - 6th grade), in our Children's Department where they will participate in exciting music and games, and have the Bible presented to them on their level.
Bible Day Camp: Held annually at Angel Park, usually during the last week of July, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon for students 4-yrs-old to those entering the 6th grade. Children receive the equivalent of two and a half months of Sunday Morning Disciple Groups for Children during the week. There is no charge to attend and online registration is available (see form located at the bottom of this page). Keep checking back to see when Bible Day Camp 2019 will be held.
Easter Gospel Celebration: Held annually for children to help them discover why we celebrate Easter. Includes games, crafts, music, Bible story, an egg hunt, etc.
Parent/Teacher Training: Classes to equip volunteers and parents on how to teach the Bible to children, plus other special topics are provided several times throughout the year by local, associational, state, and national trainers. Individual training resources are also available.
Faith@Home: Calvary would like to partner with you on your child's faith journey. Check out our Faith@Home page for Biblical resources and advice.
Faith Path: Calvary believes that God designed the family as the primary place for discipleship. The Faith Path initiative exists to partner with you as you guide your child's faith journey one step at a time.
Parent/Child Dedication: This special ceremony is held several times a year during our Worship Services. Parents are invited to dedicate their children to God and dedicate themselves to raising their children to know God. The church family is invited to partner with parents in laying foundations for faith in their children's lives.
Decision/Baptism Counseling: Monica Dalzell, Calvary's Pre-School and Childcare Director and Michaela Ports, Children's Ministry Director and other trained volunteers are available to counsel with children and their parents regarding salvation and baptism. Helpful resources for parents and special lessons for children are also available.
Children's Ministry Staff: Preschool and children's classes and events are staffed by Adult and Youth volunteers who assist with prayer, planning preparation, promotion, training, registration, teaching (includes lead teachers, assistants, substitutes, youth helpers, and parent/grandparent helpers), crafts, snacks, recreation, photography, and follow-up. All volunteers complete an application form which is used to submit an online background screening for safety issues/purposes.
