Dear CBC Family and Friends:
Well, the time has finally arrived for us to return to worship in our church building for “in-person” worship. We are scheduling our first worship service in the building for Sunday, June 7 at 10:30 a.m. However, in light of the current health risk in our world, we will be worshipping with safety and health precautions in place and will limit our worship each week for the next few weeks to only 100 people per service. This is 25% of our seating capacity and will allow us to maintain social distancing during the service. Please understand that we are seeking to work within the guidelines given by our government officials. This will require us to make unusual decisions regarding the number of people who can worship at one time. Thanks in advance for your cooperation. Hopefully within a few weeks we will be back to our full worship capacity.
Livestreaming of our worship service online will continue at 10:30 on Sunday and throughout the week. We encourage those who are at risk because of health reasons to consider continuing to worship online with us each week for the next several weeks. Also we are asking each person who attends worship in our building to seriously consider wearing a mask throughout the service. Our church staff and ushers/greeters will be wearing masks to ensure the safety of all who are worshipping. Entrance to the worship center will be by the main entry doors only. At those doors you will be greeted by an usher who will escort you to your seat. Extra masks are available for any who need one for worship. In addition, extra precautions have been taken to provide hand sanitizers for your use during your time in the building. Our staff and cleaning crew have been busy making sure we have a healthy environment for our church family. We want to assure you that we are doing everything possible with your best interests in mind as we return to worship in our building.
As a part of our preparation for returning to worship in the building on June 7, a small, select group of people will worship together this Sunday, May 31 to test and rehearse all our health and safety precautions. This will be a part of our livestream worship for this coming Sunday. Pray for us as we work out all the kinks!
I look forward to worshipping with you in person again on Sunday, June 7.
